Too Good To Go is an app that has been created to help tackle unnecessary food waste. It allows businesses small and large to sell food which would be otherwise thrown out at a reduced price to customers and in turn allows customers to receive food from some of their favourite cafes or even to try new places.
The food is given in ‘magic bags’ which can contain a variety of different products depending on the type of restaurant/cafe/shop that provides the bag. If you have a dietary requirement you can even filter for your specific needs.
Cities and larger town have the most businesses that use the app but with increased usage, smaller places are seeing a few familiar names pop up. Big names such as Yo! Sushi and Costa Coffee are among some of the big-name brands who offer magic bags in the UK as well as a vast amount of smaller popular retailers.
Since launching in 2016, Too Good To Go have acquired 2529 partnered stores within the UK and are nearing 2 million users. However, the app is not just available in the UK and can be utilised in 13 countries in Europe. Overall Too Good To Go have had 17.8m app installs and have nearly 34,500 partners.
The app is growing in popularity and is likely to attract more users and partners in future. It’s definitely worth a try at the least and who knows what your magic bag may contain...
